I just reviewed my credit card billing and saw a charge of $9.95 for February 25 from CIC*Credit Monitoring, CA. I never agreeded to pay this charged, I did apply for a FREE credit report, but did not want to be billed monthly. So I never agreed to it.

I have read other complaints that this is a scam and I called the number 800 2202626 and a recording came on. I am furious and want this stopped.

It's really easy.... A voice comes on tells you to write cancel@consumerinfo.com

READ & LISTEN!!!!

You call the toll free number. A voice comes on tells you to write cancel@consumerinfo.com
to cancel the monthly monitoring fee.
Make sure to give them the last 4 digits of you soc sec number, etc. something so that can ID you!
and your full name, So they know your email is not SPAM!

Within 48 hours you receive an email telling you the effective date of your cancellation. And asking you to write or call if you have further questions.

I tried the monitoring for the first 30 days free, and forgot to cancel it. I should never have bothered. It is run by a reputable credit bureau.

no smoke or fire here, just remain calm, use your common sense, and READ AND LISTEN.
Why get on a "complaint website" and scream to the world to STOP THIS! Only you can stop it...

thank you.
